I got my first cellphone when I was about 12 years old.

My father gave it to me as a graduation gift.

It’s a Nokia, and it didn’t have many fancy functions like today’s smart phones do. I could only use it to make phone calls or send text messages. It didn’t have a touch screen, and it couldn’t connect to the Internet, either. And now when you think about it, it looked a little bit stupid, I mean, bulky. However, back then, it was my favorite toy, not every child can have a gadget like that at that time, so my friends were pretty jealous of me. There were simple games I could play on the phone, like the snake. I could play with it for a whole day.

And the best thing was, the battery can last for a long time, I didn’t need to recharge it every day. And that phone is really durable, I mean, I had accidently dropped it on the hard ground for so many times, and it could still remain intact.

The phone is quite useful. I could call my parents when there was an emergency, I could keep in touch with my friends in primary school, and contact my classmates and teachers.

I used it for 2 years, and then it got stolen. I was heartbroken that day.

    思路解析:what: 先告诉考官是哪一项运动,比如swimming

how: 如何学会的?swimming club / health clubswimming videosshallow end 浅水区 deep end 深水区

I wanted to overcome my fear of water. And it was definitely a challenge for me. I learned it in a health club and practiced from watching some swimming videos. I started off in the shallow end, where I could touch my feet to the bottom. When I felt more comfortable, I went to the deep end. Now I am not that good at it but I conquered my fear of water and I go swimming at least once a week. It becomes a part of my schedule. Swimming is a great exercise and it is low impact if I can overcome the fear of water. I feel it’s refreshing, it doesn't stress my knees or ankles as much as other sports, and it works every muscle in my body. It's an intense workout, but at the same time the water is relaxing and stress-relieving.

    2. good : amazing, wonderful, excellent, terrific…

    3. feeling:adj.: excited, thrilled, cheerful,n. : rapture, excitement, joy Sample answer:Well, this topic does remind me of a piece of sport news I read recently, which totally excited me and I could still remember it clearly.

It’s like a couple of weeks ago, I was browsing the social media to kill time as usual. Suddenly, a piece of breaking news grabbed my eyes, saying that Chinese Women’s Volleyball Team back to the World’s Top Again. I was shocked and after carefully reading the details, I remember I was quite thrilled because it said that our team overpowered host Japan 3-1 and won its fourth women’s volleyball world cup title. That’s really something, you know! And it’s definitely the best news I’ve heard about the team since 2008.

Coz’ as a girl born in 1980s, I did witness the ups & downs of this team during past two decades. After their heydays in 1980s & 2004 Athens Olympic Games, this team has experienced frustrating international results due to endless injuries, frequent coach changes & the shortage of emerging talents. Even loyal fans like me, started to lose faith in this group of girls. But at the most difficult moment, the former star spiker, Lang Ping, nicknamed the 'Iron Hammer', stood out and decided to rebuild and lead this squad back to the world’s top. Luckily, with the guidance of the “Iron Hammer”, the team gradually recovered from the failure and regained their faith & confidence. This time, in Japan, the team of China proved to the world again about how strong & sharp they were. Witnessing my beloved team winning this champion did bring me great rapture.

Apart from that, informed from the news, I also knew that it was a real tough battle, for this victory was achieved in the absence of three key players, including the former captain. And that’s another great proof about the strength, faith & perseverance of the team. No doubt, I am proud of these girls.
