首先作为一个“具体的题目”,随便可以套在“抽象的题目”中去,例如a place where you go to relax, aplace you often visit, an interesting public place inyour city等等。

在公园比较悠哉的活动就是支起个帐篷(tent),挂起个吊床(hammock),闭着眼睛晒太阳,听着鸟叫(the sound of birds singing)和树叶的沙沙声(the soft rustling of leaves/ the sound of the treesrustling in the breeze)。

I'd like to talk about the time when my family and I went on an autumn outing duringNational Day.

Ever since I went off to college, I've hardly had any time to spend with my parents, although my university is not that far from my home, all of my spare time, even the weekendsare occupied with all kinds of activities. So during the holiday on National Day, we decided tospend some quality time together, and we drove to a park so that we could go hiking or have apicnic.

We prepared lots of snacks and drinks, and also fruits, like apples and bananas, and thingswe bought from the deli. We also took a hammock with us so that we could hang it between thetrees and have a rest.

Um... the park was gorgeous during autumn, there were no flowers, but the leaves on thetrees were so stunning. Some of them already turned red or yellow, so walking in the woodswas like a feast of colors. The best part was I got to lie back on the hammock, watching theazure sky and listening to the rustle of trees.

I couldn't remember when was the last time that I had such a relaxing day with myparents, so it was quite memorable.

Describe a film that you would like to see in the future

    You should say:

    What the film is called

    what it is about

how you heard about this film

and why you would like to see it

I’m going to talk about a film that I’d like to see when it comes out later this year. It’s the new James Bond film, and I saw in the news that it’s going to be called ‘Spectre’. I think ‘Spectre’ refers to the name of the imaginary criminal organisation that James Bond has to defeat in the film.

As ‘Spectre’ hasn’t been released yet, I don’t know exactly what it will be about. But I can guess that the hero, Bond, is going to be on a mission to save the world from an arch-criminal as usual. I’m sure it will be similar to most of the previous Bond films, with a plot line involving lots of twists and turns, and with Bond using his skills to defeat his nemesis in the end.

I first heard about this film when I was watching the news a couple of months ago, and since then I’ve seen the official trailer on TV. There have also been various articles in newspapers discussing the actors who have been cast to play supporting roles in the film. The James Bond films are always big news here in the UK, probably because Bond himself is an English character.

I’d like to see ‘Spectre’ at the cinema because I’m sure it will be full of action scenes and special effects, and I like the fact that Bond’s missions always take place in spectacular locations in different parts of the world. Of course Bond films are totally unrealistic, you could even say ridiculous. But they're always fast, entertaining and fun, a bit like a roller-coaster ride!

    1. Do you like to learn about history?

这是一道喜欢或者不喜欢类的题目,首先我们来学习一下表达‘喜欢’的语言,题目中的like可以替换成be interested in; be into; be fond of; 或者用I find something interesting.不喜欢除了用dislike以外,还可以替换成hate; loathe; be fed up with; be sick of.

注意,答案尽量以Yes, I do. Yes, very much so; Yes, definitely; Yes, absolutely等表达。 No, it’s not my kind of thing来代替。

The historical events are very interesting(历史事件非常有趣);It can make us wise(使人明智)等。

这里推荐给考生一个加分的表达:to have a love-hate relationship with something,意思是说对某物或是某件事情既爱又恨。 (I’m more interested in historical stories rather than in details of names, dates and places.)

范例1: Yes, very much so. I’d say history is my real love. You know, it’s easy for me to get lost while reading historical books or watching some documentaries. I find history very interesting, mainly because it helps me stretch my perspective across time and space to think about what happened in the past and how our ancestors experienced things.

范例2: Well, to be honest, I have a love-hate relationship with history, generally because I’m much into the stories and the insights it gives me into the past, but I’m really struggling in the history exams which are usually centered around dates, names and places.

    2. Do you think history is important?

It allows people to understand how culture, politics, economy, society and values developed.

History not only deals with the past but also with how the past led to the present.

It tells us what happened in the past, so that we avoid repeating mistakes.

Yes, I think so. History not only deals with the past, but also with how the past led to the present. So it allows people to understand how culture, politics, society and values developed. More importantly, since it tells us what happened in the past, we could avoid repeating mistakes.

    1. Do you think friends are important?

没有朋友大多数时间(much of the time )我们都会很孤独,虽然有的时候一个人也是很自在的(it’s nice to be left alone), 这里对于nice 替换可以有brilliant, fantastic等一类的词语。 但是无人交谈(have no one to talk to)也是很可怕的。 (Friends should be held close),因为他们是我们能拥有的最有价值的东西(the most valuable things)。

Of course friends are important! Without friends we would be lonely much of the time, and although sometimes it’s nice to be left alone, it would be horrible to have no one to talk to. With friends we can enjoy similar interests, talk about our lives and share experiences. Friends should be held close, because they’re some of the most valuable things we can have. A true friend will always be there for you when you need them most. A strong group of friends is as good as, if not better than, a family.

    2. Do you prefer to have one or two close friends or a wide circle of friends?

这道题需要注意的是在题目中首先要明白a wide circle of friends的意思,表示大量的,很多的朋友,然后以自己的想法和态度对于有一两个密友(one or two close friends)和很多的朋友(a wide circle of friends)这个比较宽泛的概念进行论述。

I have a wide range of interests, so I think it’s good to have a wide circle of friends because that way I’m always able to find someone who I can talk to about something. To be honest though, it’s much better to have one or two close friends because those are the friends that count. Close friends will always stick by you through thick and thin, and you can talk about more personal issues than you can with mere acquaintances. I’ve had many, many friends over the years but I’ve lost touch with most of them. only a few have been my friends the whole time, and I think that’s the mark of true friendship.

    3. What do you think is the difference between a “close friend” and a “best friend”?

Some people attach great significance to the title of “best friend”. Personally, I don’t think it’s possible to single one person out as the “best” and better than other friends. Sometimes it makes your other friends feel inferior because they are not given this title. The idea of a best friend is a good one though: it means someone who you absolutely trust, have known for a long time and get along with very well. It’s a special relationship that means a lot to both people.
